Mykonos, greece
took this photo on our extensive european trip over the summer.
we went to a few greek islands on our cruise, this one included.
mykonos is GORGEOUS but crowded with turists. we had to squeeze into this little cafe to get some air. we sat here for like an hour and watched the sun set. the windmills were on the horizon and just called my name.
on the way back to the boat the little island turned crazy and mysterious. it was pitch black and all of a sudden there were immense winds busting up the white stone villas.
we were batted all around and fought to get back to the boat.
luckily we survived.
however the cruise ship that came in later was stranded because of the weather! i wish i were stranded on Mykonos.
i miss it.

like all tourist spots, you have to go at the right time. Dublin was like that when I visited last summer, too, full of a ridiculous amount of tourists in July/August, which is why I chose to go to Mykonos in September this year. I'm excited to go there
